Fast response temperature sensor with bimetal-snap-action disc as actuator.
The sensor element is protected by a thin aluminium cap and is assembled into a Teflon tube and is therefore very sensitive to the heat.

The brass stud with screw washer and the fixing nut contains the sensor assembly.
We developed the punctual fire detector firedect especially for the monitoring of the engine compartment of busses and trains. The approval after EN 50155, in particular for the shock-, vibration- and acceleration assay will be immediately completed.
For easier upgrading we realized a new device for the wireless transmission of the signal, which is accepted and certified by the German Post and which we will present for the first time at the UITP 2007 at Helsinki.

Normally closed or normally open configuration for ratings of 5 A

at 24 V DC or up to 250 V AC and 30.000 cycles are available.

Special feature: small temperature tolerance and narrow differential. Approved for automotive application.

The materials of this unit (Teflon, brass, stainless steel) are resisting against corrosion and harsh environment conditions. The sensor resists to shock, acceleration and vibration and is therefore used for application in vehicles (land and sea) and aircraft’s.
The simulated response time in case of fire has been checked and estimated up from 80 seconds. If placed vertical above the engine the expected response time will be shorter up from 40 seconds.
